Field Trip Itinerary

DAY 1June 25 | Departure for Uganda - Entebbe

Leave the hustle and bustle of Greece behind as you stand at the airport, ready to fly to Africa. Your destination? Uganda, a country waiting for you to discover its secrets. At Entebbe Airport, your guide is already there, waiting for you with a broad, warm smile to welcome you. As soon as we collect our luggage, we head to the hotel to rest.

DAY 2June 26 | Kampala City Tour - Owino Market

Today, after breakfast, we set off for Kampala, the heart of the country. We begin with a visit to Idi Amin’s Torture Chambers, located next to Lubiri Palace. There, you’ll explore the underground chambers and prisons used by the regime in the 1970s, uncovering a dark but important chapter in the country’s recent history. Continue your exploration at Owino Market, one of the largest open-air markets in East Africa. Get ready for colors, voices, and unique items. Next, you’ll visit a group of local artists for a drum circle (a group drumming session). This will get you in the mood for African culture. If you’re looking for something unique, you can order custom-made clothing from traditional Kitenge fabric. Tonight’s plan includes dinner and a good night’s rest. However, if you’re feeling full of energy and can’t stay cooped up in your room, you can go out for a quick night on the town to get a taste of Kampala’s vibrant nightlife.

DAY 3June 27 | Queen Elizabeth National Park (6–7-hour drive)

After breakfast, we leave the hustle and bustle of Kampala behind and head to the legendary Queen Elizabeth National Park. Get ready, because this is one of the best places in Uganda to see wildlife in all its glory. Keep your eyes wide open and your camera at the ready! We’re on the hunt for majestic elephants, imposing lions, and lurking crocodiles. We’ll see hundreds of hippos basking carefree in the sun, and if luck is on our side, we might spot the elusive leopard hiding in the foliage. As soon as we arrive, you’ll enjoy a quick lunch, and without wasting a minute, we’ll set off immediately on our first safari! You’ll feel the dust of Africa and the adrenaline of the hunt on our first expedition. In the evening, you’ll return to the lodge for dinner and relaxation under the starry African sky, so you can recharge your batteries for the adventures ahead!

DAY 4June 28 | Queen Elizabeth - Kazinga Channel

Wake up, stretch, and let’s head out on our morning safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park. This is the best time to spot the animals in full action! Charge your camera, clean your binoculars, and get ready for some breathtaking shots as the animals begin their day on the savanna. After we return, lunch awaits you at the lodge, and in the afternoon you’ll board a boat for an exciting tour of the Kazinga Channel. Get ready to be amazed, as you’ll find yourself face-to-face with the largest hippo colony in the world! You’ll see them swimming and yawning, but crocodiles or rare birds may also add to the scene. But the day doesn’t end there. In the afternoon, we’ll visit a local school, an experience that will fill your soul. You’ll meet the local children, see their smiles, and get a glimpse into their daily lives. A day full of images, but also a whole range of emotions.

DAY 5June 29 | Lake Bunyonyi (6-hour drive)

After a hearty breakfast, pack your bags, because we’re setting off on a six-hour journey to an earthly paradise: the magnificent Lake Bunyonyi! Don’t worry about the drive—the ever-changing scenery outside the window will keep you entertained. Of course, we’ll make the necessary stops so you can stretch your legs. Put on your sneakers, because we’ve planned a mini-hike to the Twin Lakes. There, you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy the absolute tranquility and take those photos that will make everyone jealous. When you arrive in the afternoon, Bunyonyi welcomes you with its unique, postcard-perfect scenery, its waters surrounding 29 lush green islets. You’ll settle into one of the wooden cottages at Supreme Adventure Park, where the fatigue of the journey will vanish instantly. The day ends with dinner and a view of the lake. Welcome to Chill Mode!

DAY 6June 30 | Lake Bunyonyi – Bwindi

Today is the BIG day—the one you’ve probably been waiting for ever since you booked this trip! You’ll leave the tranquility of Lake Bunyonyi behind and venture deep into Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Don’t let the name scare you… The "Impenetrable Forest" is a 4-million-year-old ancient jungle, a living museum of nature, and one of the few places on the planet where you can look the rare Mountain Gorilla in the eye. Together with your experienced ranger, you’ll search through the dense vegetation for one of the most fascinating and endangered animals on the planet. The hike isn’t easy. It can last anywhere from 1 to 5 hours, depending on where the gorilla family has decided to camp today. Pro Tip: Don’t hesitate to hire a local porter! Not only will they help you with your gear on the rugged trails, but your support is invaluable to the local community. And after the search… the magic. You’ll spend a full hour alongside one of our closest relatives. It’s an unforgettable experience that will leave you speechless! Late in the afternoon, we return to our base at Lake Bunyonyi for dinner and rest.

DAY 7July 1 | Lake Mburo (5-hour drive)

After breakfast at Lake Bunyonyi, you’ll set off on the five-hour drive to Lake Mburo National Park. You’ll arrive just in time for a delicious lunch and to check in at your lodge. Mburo is a small, hidden gem! It’s the only park in Uganda where you’ll encounter the elegant impalas and one of the few places with such large populations of zebras. The best part? Since there are no elephants or lions here, you’re given the rare and exciting opportunity to go on a walking safari! You’ll walk right alongside the wildlife, feeling the pulse of nature. If you’re feeling lucky, you can optionally join a night safari. There, in the darkness, we’ll search for the mysterious leopard! The odds are 50-50, so hold your breath and keep your eyes peeled. The moment the flashlight’s beam meets the eyes of a predator is simply electric!

DAY 8July 2 | Jinja (7-hour drive)

Get ready for a day of striking contrasts as you leave the savanna behind and head for the watery realm of Jinja. Say goodbye to the wild landscapes of the savanna, as the seven-hour drive will take you to the city that has the unique privilege of hosting the sources of the Nile River. It is right there that the water begins its journey from Lake Victoria to the Mediterranean. We arrive late in the afternoon, just in time for you to drop off your things and relax. What comes next? Simply magical. Imagine yourself with a cocktail in hand, sitting right next to the Nile itself. Dinner awaits you in the evening, with the sounds of tropical nature creating the perfect backdrop. Tonight you’re not just sleeping somewhere in Africa… you’re sleeping right next to the source of life itself!

DAY 9July 3 | Jinja

Today is all yours, and Jinja transforms into your very own personal playground. You have complete freedom to choose how to spend your time, starting with some relaxation by the riverbank, simply enjoying the magic of the landscape. But if your heart craves action, the options are thrilling. You can try tubing for a fun ride down the river on an inner tube, take on the rushing waters with rafting, or opt for a more peaceful exploration by canoe. For those who prefer to stay on dry land, horseback riding along the riverbank offers breathtaking views, while for true adrenaline junkies, bungee jumping over the Nile is the ultimate challenge. Whatever you dream of for this day, we’re here to book it and make it a reality—just let us know which experience suits you best.

DAY 10July 4 | Jinja–Entebbe (3-hour drive)

After enjoying your last breakfast in Jinja, it’s time to say goodbye to the Nile and set off on the three-hour drive to Entebbe. This journey will give you the chance to enjoy Uganda’s vibrant landscapes one last time. As we reach the end of this incredible experience, we hope your luggage is now filled not only with souvenirs, but with strong friendships and moments that will stay with you for a lifetime. This journey certainly leaves behind a sweet nostalgia for the wild beauty you’ve experienced, but at the same time, it paves the way for your next great adventures.
