5 days in three of Central Europe's most beautiful cities
Prague, Dresden, and Berlin: three unique cities, three different experiences, and an exciting journey filled with history, culture, stunning architecture, and a vibrant festive atmosphere. From fairytale Prague and the Gothic bridges over the Vltava River to majestic Dresden, the “Florence of the North,” and from there to modern and multifaceted Berlin, this trip perfectly combines some of Central Europe’s most important destinations. Prague is a city that seems to have sprung from the pages of a fairy tale. Medieval alleyways, imposing towers, castles, historic squares, and the famous Charles Bridge create a unique setting. The Vltava River divides the city in two and at the same time unites it through its magnificent bridges, creating a landscape full of romance and mystery. Dresden impresses with its architectural harmony and its compelling history. A city that was almost completely destroyed during World War II and was rebuilt with respect for its cultural heritage, regaining its place among Germany’s most beautiful cities. Berlin, on the other hand, is a city of contrasts. Historical monuments, remnants of the Cold War, modern architecture, lush green parks, bustling shopping boulevards, and alternative neighborhoods come together to create one of Europe’s most fascinating capitals. During the Christmas season, the festively decorated squares, illuminated streets, and traditional Christmas markets add even more magic to a trip that offers sights and experiences we’ll remember forever.

Thessaloniki "Macedonia" Airport (Google Maps)
We’ll meet early in the morning at “Macedonia” Airport, get to know our tour guide, and depart on a Ryanair Group flight to Prague, the famous “City of a Hundred Spires.” Upon arrival, after collecting our luggage, we’ll head to Dresden, one of Germany’s most beautiful cities and the capital of the Free State of Saxony. Dresden is known as the “Florence of the North,” thanks to its impressive Baroque architecture, its valuable art collections, and its unique location on the banks of the Elbe River. The first glimpse of the city inspires awe, but also respect for a place that was largely destroyed during World War II and rebuilt with exceptional care. During our tour, we’ll explore Theaterplatz, the central historic square, dominated by the famous Semperoper. We’ll see the impressive Zwinger complex, one of Germany’s most significant Baroque architectural ensembles, as well as the famous Fürstenzug mural, the “Procession of the Princes,” which consists of thousands of porcelain tiles and depicts the rulers of Saxony. We’ll also admire the Frauenkirche, the city’s iconic church, which was destroyed during the war and rebuilt as a symbol of reconciliation and rebirth. We’ll stroll through the streets of the historic center and have free time for lunch, shopping, and a visit to the city’s holiday markets. We’ll then depart for Berlin. Arrival and check-in at our hotel. In the evening, you can get a first taste of the German capital and enjoy a meal or a drink on the famous Kurfürstendamm shopping boulevard.
After breakfast, we’ll begin our panoramic tour of Berlin, a city where history coexists with modern architecture and every neighborhood tells a different story. We’ll drive along the famous Unter den Linden boulevard and see important monuments and imposing buildings from the Prussian and imperial eras. We’ll stop at the Brandenburg Gate, the timeless symbol of the city and of German reunification. Nearby stands the German Parliament building, the famous Reichstag, with its distinctive glass dome. We’ll pass by the Holocaust Memorial and continue on to Potsdamer Platz, one of the most striking examples of Berlin’s modern revival. As we cross the imposing 17 June Avenue, we’ll see the Victory Column and the Tiergarten, the largest and most important green space in the city center. Our tour will also take us to Checkpoint Charlie, the most famous crossing point between East and West Berlin during the Cold War. Through the preserved sections of the Wall and the area’s historic sites, we’ll gain a deeper understanding of the events that shaped the German capital until its reunification. We’ll continue on to Alexanderplatz, with its iconic TV Tower, and end up at the famous Museum Island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There you’ll find some of Europe’s most important museums, Berlin Cathedral, and the impressive Humboldt Forum, housed in the reconstructed Berlin Palace. Afterward, you’ll have free time to spend as you wish. You can visit the shops on Friedrichstraße and Kurfürstendamm, the historic KaDeWe department store, or one of the city’s popular attractions, such as Madame Tussauds, the Berlin Dungeon, SEA LIFE Berlin, or the Berlin Story Bunker. Later, immerse yourself in the festive atmosphere of the Christmas markets, sample traditional German delicacies and mulled wine, and enjoy Berlin all lit up.
After breakfast, we’ll have the chance to discover a different side of Berlin on a tour of the Scheunenviertel neighborhood. Its name means “barn district,” and the area is closely linked to the history of Berlin’s Jewish community. Its residents endured poverty, persecution, and raids by the Nazi regime, even before the horrors of the “Final Solution.” Today, the area retains significant traces of its history, but at the same time has evolved into one of Berlin’s most interesting and creative neighborhoods. Narrow streets, small squares, old buildings, inner courtyards, art galleries, trendy boutiques, cafés, and restaurants create a unique atmosphere. We’ll explore the area around Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz, the historic Volksbühne theater, and the Babylon cinema. We’ll walk through the famous Hackesche Höfe complex, the largest cluster of interconnected courtyards in Germany and one of the city’s most photographed landmarks. After our tour ends, we’ll board the bus and depart for Prague. After the necessary stops along the way, we’ll arrive in the Czech capital and check in at our hotel. In the evening, you can take your first stroll through the illuminated streets of Prague and enjoy the atmosphere of the Old Town.
Breakfast at the hotel, followed by our guided tour of Prague’s historic center, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Prague is built on the banks of the Vltava River and is known as the “Golden City,” the “Mother of Cities,” and the “City of a Hundred Spires.” Its impressive architecture, which combines Gothic, Baroque, Renaissance, and Art Nouveau elements, creates a unique open-air museum. We’ll start at Democracy Square, where we’ll see City Hall, one of the city’s most important Art Nouveau buildings, and the Gothic Powder Tower, one of Prague’s oldest gateways. Continuing on, we’ll reach Wenceslas Square, which is linked to significant events in modern Czech history. The National Museum, one of the city’s most distinctive buildings, stands out there. Heading toward the Old Town, we’ll come across the Estates Theater, where Mozart’s opera *Don Giovanni* was first performed. In the Old Town Square, we’ll admire the Medieval Town Hall and the famous Astronomical Clock, one of the oldest and most impressive astronomical clocks in the world. We’ll also see the Church of Our Lady of Týn, with its distinctive Adam and Eve towers, as well as the Baroque Church of St. Nicholas. We’ll continue on to the elegant Paris Street and the historic Jewish Quarter of Josefov, where we’ll see the exterior of the Old-New Synagogue and important monuments that bear witness to the Jewish community’s centuries-long presence in the city. This is followed by free time for lunch, coffee, shopping, and a stroll through the festively decorated alleyways. Don’t miss the Christmas markets in Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square, try traditional delicacies, and enjoy the festive atmosphere of Prague. For the evening, we recommend—with the help of our tour guide—that you optionally attend a performance at Prague’s renowned Black Light Theater. This is a unique form of theater that combines light, darkness, color, movement, music, and optical illusions, creating a spectacular show without language barriers.
After breakfast, we’ll pack our bags and set out for one of the most important and beautiful areas of Prague: the famous Castle District. Our tour will begin at Strahov Monastery, founded in the 12th century and known for its impressive library and panoramic view of the city. We’ll continue on to Loreto, one of the most important pilgrimage sites in the Czech Republic, with its impressive Baroque façade and famous bell tower. Walking through the historic Hradčany district, we’ll reach the imposing Prague Castle complex. We’ll see the Schwarzenberg Palace, the Old Royal Palace—the palaces where the kings of Bohemia once lived—and the current Presidential Palace. In the heart of Castle City stands St. Vitus Cathedral, the country’s most important religious monument. We’ll admire its Gothic architecture and learn about the history of the Chapel of St. Wenceslas, the patron saint of the Czech Republic. Our tour continues to St. George’s Basilica and descends toward Malá Strana, Prague’s picturesque “Lesser Town.” This is one of the oldest neighborhoods, featuring aristocratic mansions, Baroque churches, small squares, and cobblestone streets. We’ll admire the imposing exterior of St. Nicholas Church and continue on to the legendary Charles Bridge. The Gothic bridge, with its distinctive statues and magnificent view of the Castle and the Vltava River, is Prague’s most famous landmark and the perfect backdrop for the most beautiful photos of your trip. We’ll make our way back to the Old Town and the Astronomical Clock area through the picturesque alleys of Royal Route. You can use the free time that follows for one last stroll, some shopping, and a meal in the historic center. Alternatively, join us on an optional cruise on the Vltava River. During the cruise, we’ll enjoy Prague from a different perspective, passing under the historic bridges and admiring the most important landmarks that line the riverbanks. At the same time, we’ll enjoy a lavish buffet lunch featuring main courses, desserts, and fruit. In the afternoon, we’ll meet at the designated spot and be transferred to Prague Airport. We’ll board our Ryanair Group flight and depart for Thessaloniki, filled with wonderful sights and unique memories from an exciting journey to the heart of Europe.
