DAY 1FLIGHT TO PRAGUE - GUIDED TOUR OF THE HISTORIC CENTER - BLACK THEATER

We’ll meet at “Macedonia” Airport early in the morning and depart for the fairytale “City of a Hundred Spires, Prague. Upon arrival, and after receiving some useful initial information from our experienced guide, we begin our tour of the city’s historic center to discover why it is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful capitals in Europe. Built on the banks of the Vltava River, in the heart of Bohemia, Prague is aptly called the “Mother of Cities” and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1992. At this time of year, the golden-red hues of autumn envelop its historic neighborhoods, while every corner reveals centuries-old stories and scenes straight out of a medieval fairy tale. Our journey begins at the impressive Wallenstein Gardens, where we’re greeted by magnificent peacocks roaming freely among the Baroque statues and elegant gardens. Next, as we cross the picturesque Malá Strana, we stop to take photos with the iconic Charles Bridge in the background. Before crossing it, we pass by the colorful John Lennon Wall, a living canvas filled with messages of freedom, peace, and creative expression. Next, we head toward the Gothic Charles Bridge through the medieval alleyways of the famous “Royal Route, following the path that once connected the most important landmarks of the Old Town. The view of the Vltava River and Prague’s imposing towers is truly enchanting, especially in the soft autumn light that bathes the city. Our walk continues past the imposing Klementinum, which houses one of the most important and historic libraries in the Czech Republic. In Old Town Square, we’ll admire the legendary Prague Astronomical Clock, the imposing Church of Our Lady before Týn with its distinctive towers “Adam and Eve, the Baroque Church of St. Nicholas, and the historic City Hall. We continue along the elegant Pařížská Street to the historic Jewish Quarter, where the Old-New Synagogue stands out, one of the oldest and most important Jewish monuments in Europe. This is followed by free time for coffee, shopping, and lunch in the historic center, where you can enjoy the city’s unique atmosphere and distinctive vibe. In the evening, as an optional activity, we have the opportunity to attend a performance at Prague’s renowned Black Light Theater, a unique artistic experience where light, darkness, and movement come together to create a world of magical illusions. A special evening that perfectly introduces us to the city’s mysterious and romantic spirit, as its illuminated monuments are reflected in the waters of the Vltava and Prague reveals its charm beneath the evening sky.

DAY 2GUIDED TOUR OF CASTLE CITY (STRAHOV – LORETO – SAINT VITUS) - Charles Bridge - Old Town - Cruise on the Vltava River

We enjoy breakfast at the hotel and begin today’s guided tour, heading to the imposing Prague Castle (Hradčany), which towers on the hill above Malá Strana and stands as the timeless symbol of the Czech capital. Bathed in the soft light of autumn, its historic towers, courtyards, and palaces create a scene of unparalleled grandeur. Our first stop is the historic Strahov Monastery, known for its magnificent library, followed by the impressive Prague Loreto, one of the country’s most important places of pilgrimage. Our tour continues to Castle District, Prague’s “Acropolis, where the history of Bohemia comes alive in every cobblestone alley and every corner of the imposing palaces. We’ll see the Renaissance Schwarzenberg Palace, as well as the Old Royal Palace, which served as the residence of the kings of Bohemia and later as the seat of Maria Theresa. Today, the Prague Castle complex serves as the official seat of the President of the Czech Republic and ranks among the largest castle complexes in the world. The highlight of the day is our visit to the imposing St. Vitus Cathedral, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture and a premier symbol of Czech history. The tombs of kings and saints are housed here, and we’ll also admire the Chapel of St. Wenceslas, patron saint of the country. We’ll also pass by the Romanesque Basilica of St. George and the historic buildings that for centuries housed the rulers of Bohemia. As we head down toward “Lesser Town” (Malá Strana), we’ll wander through the picturesque alleys of Prague’s most atmospheric neighborhood and admire the exterior of the impressive Baroque Church of St. Nicholas. The historic buildings, quiet squares, and the autumnal hues of the trees create a unique sense of romance and timeless charm. Afterward, you can enjoy some free time in the town’s picturesque streets or optionally take an unforgettable cruise on the Moldava River. As the boat glides gently along the river, the bridges, towers, and historic buildings are reflected on its surface, revealing the magic of Prague from a different perspective. During the cruise, we’ll enjoy a lavish buffet lunch featuring a variety of main dishes, salads, desserts, and fresh fruit. The day concludes with free time in the historic city center. The illuminated towers, the cobblestone alleys, and the unique atmosphere of Prague at night provide the ideal setting for a final stroll, beautiful photos, and moments that will remain unforgettable.

DAY 3FREE DAY - OPTIONAL DAY TRIP TO DRESDEN

Breakfast at the hotel, and today you have the opportunity to take part in a wonderful optional excursion to Dresden, known as the “Florence of the North, one of the most impressive cities in eastern Germany, in the heart of the state of Saxony. The city, built on the banks of the Elbe River, impresses with its architectural harmony and unique atmosphere. The first impression one gets upon arriving in Dresden can be summed up in two words: beauty and reverence. A city that suffered total destruction during World War II and was reborn with remarkable attention to detail, restoring monuments and buildings to their original grandeur. Theaterplatz, the city’s central square, is dominated by the imposing Semperoper, one of Europe’s most important opera houses. Nearby is the Zwinger complex, a masterpiece of Baroque architecture that houses remarkable art collections, including paintings by Raphael, Giorgione, Rembrandt, Vermeer, and Rubens, as well as a work by El Greco. The famous porcelain frieze “Procession of the Princes” (Fürstenzug), the world’s largest mural made of porcelain tiles, which depicts the rulers of Saxony, including Augustus the Great. A landmark of the city is the Frauenkirche, the majestic Church of Our Lady, which has been rebuilt from its ruins and stands as a symbol of peace, remembrance, and the rebirth of Dresden. Free time in the historic center for dining, coffee, and shopping, set against a backdrop that blends the grandeur of the past with the vibrancy of the present. Return to Prague in the afternoon and overnight stay, with the day’s memories perfectly rounding out our Central European travel fairy tale.

DAY 4DAY TRIP TO KARLOVY VARY

Breakfast at the hotel, then departure for the famous Karlovy Vary, in western Bohemia, one of the most elegant and historic spa towns in Central Europe. During the approximately two-hour drive, we’ll enjoy the region’s characteristic landscapes: lush green hills, vast hop fields, and stretches of Bohemian forests, which at this time of year are cloaked in the warm hues of autumn. Upon arriving at the cosmopolitan spa town, we find a city nestled in the lush green valley of the Tepla River, known worldwide for its 12 hot springs. Karlovy Vary was founded by Emperor Charles IV and, over the centuries, has served as a meeting place for prominent figures in literature, the arts, and politics, such as Peter the Great of Russia, Maria Theresa, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Friedrich Schiller, Johann Sebastian Bach, and Ludwig van Beethoven. Beyond its reputation as a spa town, the city is known for its exquisite Bohemian crystal, the world-renowned Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, and the popular Czech liqueur Becherovka. We wander through the elegant arcades with their colonial-style colonnades, taste—if you’d like—the mineral water from the springs, and enjoy the unique combination of natural beauty and architectural harmony that characterizes the city. Free time for strolling and shopping, followed by a return to Prague. In the evening, the city welcomes us back with its special atmosphere. You can enjoy dinner at traditional Czech beer halls, sampling local specialties, such as the mouthwatering pork knuckle, accompanied by the famous Czech beer, or let yourself be carried away by the rhythms of the music at one of Prague’s renowned jazz clubs. DAY 5PRAGUE - RETURN FLIGHT
