Field Trip Itinerary

DAY 1Paris - First Tour - Place de la Bastille - Marais District - Georges Pompidou Center - Natural History Museum - Notre-Dame Cathedral - Paris by Night - Montmartre - Cruise on the Seine

Meet at Thessaloniki’s “Macedonia” Airport. Security check and flight to Paris. Upon arrival, we’ll meet the tour guide and the teacher at the airport exit, and then we’re off to the city! Without wasting any time, we’ll immediately begin our city tour, and since we’ve just arrived and are well-rested, we’ll choose the places that require the most walking, starting with a site where a very significant event in the city’s history took place: the Place de la Bastille. The prison that stood here was a symbol of tyranny and oppression and was demolished by the rebellious people of Paris on July 14, 1789. The date of the fall of the Bastille, which marked the end of royal tyranny for France, has been celebrated as France’s national holiday since 1880. Here, we will also see the Bastille Opera House, which seats 5,000 people. We continue on through Place des Vosges, the oldest square in Paris, dating from the 17th century, featuring Victor Hugo’s house-museum, and end up in the traditional medieval Marais district, the oldest inhabited district in the city, home to the Jewish quarter and Rue de Francs Bourgeois, with its imposing mansions of the French aristocracy, some of which are now museums, such as the Carnavalet and the Lamoignon. The Picasso Museum is also located in this area.

The next stop on our walking tour is the Georges Pompidou Center in the Beaubourg district, a world-renowned cultural center that houses the Public Library of Information and the National Museum of Modern Art. We continue with a visit to the impressive Museum National d'Histoire Naturelle, one of the most important and impressive natural history venues in Europe, ideal for both adults and children. Our tour begins at the famous Grande Galerie de l’Evolution, where we will admire a unique collection of life-size animals: elephants, giraffes, lions, and marine species, in a stunning display that resembles a “living parade of nature.” Children are thrilled by the exhibits and interactive elements, while adults discover the importance of biodiversity and protecting the planet.

Next, you can visit: Gallery of Paleontology with authentic dinosaur skeletons Botanical Gardens (Jardin des Plantes) for a leisurely stroll Menagerie (small zoo) – ideal for younger children

Next, there’s time to rest and play in the beautiful gardens, where children can run around freely while parents enjoy one of Paris’s most historic and green spaces. We’ll wrap up today’s tour with one of the city’s most famous landmarks at ground zero: the renowned Notre-Dame de Paris, also known as Notre-Dame de Paris, a Roman Catholic cathedral, one of the most magnificent architectural monuments of the so-called pointed or Gothic style and the title of Victor Hugo’s famous novel, which reopened its doors after five years of restoration, due to the well-known fire. Transfer to the hotel and check-in. For your first night in Paris, join us for an optional wonderful night tour. We’ll start with a cruise on the Seine on the famous bateaux mouches, and then we’ll see the main sights by bus before ending up at the city’s highest natural vantage point. We’ll see the imaginary axis from the center of the Louvre, the Carrousel Arch, the Luxor Obelisk, and the Arc de Triomphe, and we’ll walk up Montmartre Hill, home to the street artists, one of the most picturesque neighborhoods in Paris that never sleeps, taking in the Sacré-Cœur Basilica, the Place des Artistes, and the home of Salvador Dalí.

DAY 2City tour – Opéra Garnier – Île de la Cité – Quartier Latin – Sorbonne University – Luxembourg Gardens – Trocadéro – Eiffel Tower - Arc de Triomphe - Louvre - Palais Royal - Champs-Élysées

After breakfast, we begin our tour of the countless sights of the City of Light. We will first admire the famous Opéra Garnier, with its façade adorned with busts of great composers, and then continue to Paris’s most luxurious square (Place Vendôme), built by Louis XIV, featuring the Ritz Hotel and the Column of Napoleon, and, walking down the Rue de l’Opéra, we will pass through the courtyard of the Louvre, where we will see the Carrousel Arch and the famous glass pyramids, which allow natural light to enter the museum’s entrance area, and we will end up at the Seine. Walking along the right bank of the river, we’ll come to the artists’ wooden bridge, which leads to the Mazarin Academy of Arts and Sciences, the Place du Châtelet, the old palace, now the seat of the French Supreme Court, and head toward the neo-Gothic City Hall. From here, we will walk across the Île de la Cité, passing in front of Notre-Dame Cathedral, and end up in the Quartier Latin, the famous historic district of the French capital. Free time for coffee and a stroll.

Next, by bus, we’ll head to the famous Sorbonne University, we’ll see the Pantheon and walk through the Luxembourg Gardens, another green oasis for the city, where the eponymous palace of Marie de’ Medici (now the seat of the French Senate) stands out. Immediately afterward, we’ll pass by Saint-Sulpice, Saint-Germain, and two of the city’s most famous cafés, the Deux Magots of the artists and the de Flore of the existentialists, crossing one of the most expensive streets in Paris, the Rue de Bonaparte, to end up once again next to the Seine, this time on the right bank. Along the way, we’ll see the world’s finest museum of Impressionist painters, the Orsay, the old train station, the Parliament building, and the Les Invalides, where Napoleon Bonaparte is buried, and we’ll end up at the Trocadéro, with its amazing view of the Eiffel Tower, where we’ll stop for photos. Next, we’ll stop at the base of the Eiffel Tower, near the beautiful gardens of the Champ de Mars. Continuing on, we’ll stop at the Arc de Triomphe for photos, drive down the famous Champs-Élysées with its magnificent 18th- and 19th-century buildings, cross the unique Rue de la Haute Couture, the beautiful Tsar Alexander Bridge, and after seeing the Petit and the Grand Palais, we’ll arrive at Place de l’Omonie with the Luxor Obelisk. After seeing the Church of St. Mary Magdalene, we will end up in the Opera district, where there will be free time to visit the interior of the Galleries Lafayette and Printemps department store complex, as well as to sit down for a drink at the famous Café de la Paix.

This will be followed by an optional visit and guided tour of the world’s most famous museum, the Louvre. It takes many days to see all the exhibits, so we’ll select those of greatest interest to us. In the Greek wing, we will see the Aphrodite of Milos, the Winged Victory of Samothrace, the “Centaur Battle,” a fragment of a Parthenon metope, the marble statue of Athena, and more. Moving on, we will see Da Vinci’s most famous painting, the renowned “La Gioconda,” among other works from the Renaissance and the Romantic era. Finally, we will walk to the Palais Royal, another very important and historic building in Paris, built by Cardinal Richelieu and now the seat of the Council of State. We’ll walk through the building’s inner courtyard and gardens, where we’ll truly feel as though we’ve stepped back in time. Free time and return to the hotel. There, our educator will be waiting to engage the children in the afternoon creative activities program, featuring activities that foster learning, socialization, and joy, while also giving parents some time to relax. For the evening, we recommend a stroll through the Champs-Élysées. Start at the Arc de Triomphe and walk down the illuminated avenue toward Omonia Square.

DAY 3Disneyland Paris - Disneyland Park & Walt Disney Studios Park

Join us today for a magical journey into the wonderful world of Disney. Let yourself be captivated by the colors, the cheerful music, the spectacular shows, and the grand parades of all the characters. We invite you to experience the Wild West era with the riverboats and the gold miners’ mountain (THUNDER MOUNTAIN), take a ride on the Indiana Jones train, and visit Pirate Island with its hidden treasures. Dine at one of the 29 restaurants and experience the magical world of Sleeping Beauty, Pinocchio, and Peter Pan, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and the Miniature World, and take a thrilling journey among meteors and spaceships on the STAR TOUR and SPACE MOUNTAIN. Return to the hotel. For the evening, we suggest taking the metro for a stroll through the bustling Beaubourg district, which we already explored on our first day. The area’s pedestrian streets are lined with bistros, cafés, bars, and restaurants to suit every taste and age group. It’s one of the most popular entertainment spots for Parisians. At Disneyland Paris, there are two major theme parks: the main Disneyland® Park and the equally wonderful Walt Disney Studios® Park. We think that since you’ve made it this far, it’s worth seeing both!

DAY 4Aquarium - Eiffel Tower - Champs de Mars

It’s the fourth day of our trip, and we’ve already seen quite a bit of Paris, but we’re not done yet. After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll start our day with a visit to the Paris Aquarium Experience, a magical world beneath the sea’s surface, where young and old alike come face to face with sharks, colorful tropical fish, and stunning jellyfish. An interactive experience full of sights, learning, and fun that will delight the whole family! We continue with the iconic symbol of Paris, the Eiffel Tower. We recommend going up to the 2nd level to enjoy the panoramic view of the city, an experience that delights both children and adults. Next, we head to the Champ de Mars for some playtime and relaxation. The children have the chance to move about freely and enjoy the city’s most famous spot through play and carefree fun. Next, we stop at the fairy-tale carousel next to the Tower, one of the most beautiful moments of the day, perfect for photos and family memories. You’re free to enjoy your time until we return to the hotel. Don’t forget that in the afternoon, the children have an educational and fun activity led by the teacher, inside the hotel.

DAY 5Asterix Park

After breakfast at the hotel, you can spend the day however you like or join us for an optional visit to the wonderful world of Parc Astérix, one of Europe’s most impressive theme parks, inspired by the adventures of Asterix and the Gauls. Inside the park, you’ll have the chance to enjoy a variety of activities and themed experiences:

  • Thrill Rides & Roller Coasters: For adrenaline junkies, we recommend thrilling rides such as OzIris (an inverted roller coaster), the wooden Tonnerre 2 Zeus, and the family-friendly yet fast Pegase Express. These rides are among the park’s top attractions and offer a unique experience of speed and excitement.

  • Themed zones & villages: Explore different worlds inspired by the Roman, Egyptian, and Gallic eras. Each zone features distinct architecture, activities, and atmosphere, creating a comprehensive exploration experience.

  • Live shows & performances: Watch spectacular shows featuring stunt performers, acrobats, and theatrical performances starring Asterix and Obelix. The shows take place at specific times and are a key part of the experience.

  • Family games & more laid-back activities: For those looking for a more relaxed pace, the park offers a variety of attractions suitable for all ages, featuring interactive experiences and themed trails.

  • Water attractions (seasonal): Options for cooling off and having fun, especially ideal during the summer months.

  • Dining within the park: During your stay, you can dine at one of the park’s themed restaurants or snack bars, with options to suit every taste.

Free time for personal exploration, souvenir shopping, and enjoying favorite activities, followed by a return to the hotel.
