Our summer getaway begins early in the morning, with a meet-up at “Macedonia” Airport and a flight to cosmopolitan London. Upon arrival, we will be greeted by our tour guide and “local friend.” We’ll immediately begin our first tour of the city. During our panoramic tour, we’ll travel along historic boulevards and iconic bridges. We’ll admire the Thames and pass by iconic landmarks: the imposing Buckingham Palace, the historic Westminster Abbey, Parliament Square, the world-famous Big Ben, elegant Kensington, Hyde Park Corner, and the impressive London Eye. We will also explore the financial heart of London, the famous City, as well as the iconic Shard.
Afterward, we’ll transfer to and check into our hotel. In the evening, optionally, we invite you to an atmospheric night tour. We’ll start at Covent Garden, with its theatrical vibe, and continue on to Soho, Piccadilly Circus, and elegant Regent Street.
After breakfast, the day begins with a visit to the famous British Museum. We’ll have the opportunity to stand before magnificent works of art, and the Parthenon Marbles are particularly moving. Afterward, you’ll have free time to enjoy the city.
For those interested, an optional cruise on the Thames is recommended, offering views of the Tower of London and the impressive Tower Bridge from the water. The cruise may end in historic Greenwich, where we’ll see the Royal Naval College and the old Royal Observatory, known as the prime meridian.
The day is yours for shopping. The famous Oxford Street, the elegant Bond Street, and the impressive Regent Street provide an unbeatable setting, while the legendary Harrods is a symbol of luxury. You can also explore open-air markets such as Portobello Road in Notting Hill or the colorful Camden Market.
Alternatively, we recommend the optional excursion to the English countryside. First stop is the famous Oxford, the historic university town. Next, we’ll arrive in the charming town of Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare. Before returning, we’ll visit the famous Bicester Outlet Village for designer shopping at exceptional prices.
The fourth day is dedicated to London’s more laid-back side. You can visit the majestic Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, and the elegant Regent’s Park. For culture lovers, the South Kensington area offers the Natural History Museum, the Victoria & Albert Museum, and the Science Museum. For a lighter mood, Madame Tussauds remains a favorite choice.
It’s our last day, and we’re heading to a stately corner of England. Our first stop is picturesque Datchet, a charming village linked to the history of the Magna Carta. Next, we arrive at the impressive Windsor Castle, the largest functioning royal residence in the world. We will explore the interiors, the royal halls, and the works of art that exude the grandeur of the British monarchy. After the visit, transfer to the airport for the return flight.
