Unraveling the Secret of the Pharaohs! Having traveled almost all over the world, we know full well that every destination has something to offer, but Egypt is in a league of its own. If you’ve been given reasons to hesitate, we’re here to give you just as many reasons to go and convince you that this trip is a delightful getaway. Here you’ll stand before the only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World still standing, the Pyramid of Giza; you’ll feel the awe of the vast Sahara and gaze upon the legendary Nile, the longest river on the planet (even if the Brazilians are trying to steal the title for the Amazon!).

During our time there, we’ll experience Egypt exactly as every true traveler should. Authentically and unfiltered. Of course, we won’t miss the Pyramids or the legendary treasures in the new museum, but we’ll go a step further, trying to decipher the energy of this place. We’ll set sail on a traditional felucca on the waters of the Nile, the great benefactor of this land, and we’ll search for traces of Hellenism in Alexandria, because as is well known, no matter which stone you lift anywhere in the world, you’re bound to find a Greek! Every day will add another piece to the puzzle of a unique experience, full of vibrant vibes and moments you’ll be talking about for years to come. Get ready, because Egypt is waiting for you to discover it!

Field Trip Itinerary

DAY 1Old Cairo - Khan el Khalili - Felucca

As soon as you set foot in Egypt, get ready for your first “dive” into the enchanting culture of this ancient city. You’ll start in Old Cairo, where the ruins of the Roman Towers remind you that history here never ends. You’ll be impressed by the famous Hanging Church, which got its name because it’s literally built atop the gates of the ancient fortress of Babylon, and you’ll see up close the Church of Abu Serga, which is said to have hosted the Holy Family. Then you turn the page and step into the Islamic era with a visit to the imposing “Alabaster Mosque” of Muhammad Ali. It towers over the top of Saladin’s Acropolis and will treat you to the most “insane” panoramic view you’ve ever seen.

But the real vibe lies in the heart of Islamic Cairo, at the Khan el-Khalili bazaar. Imagine a labyrinth dating back to 1382 with over 4,000 small shops, where artisans still work using ancient techniques. If you like, you can relax with an apple-flavored hookah, an invigorating coffee, or a cold beer. It’s a vibrant mosaic of colors and scents that will blow your mind! And because every epic day deserves a fitting finale, as the sun begins to set, you’ll find yourself—if you choose—on a traditional felucca on the Nile, with the cool breeze caressing your face and the city lighting up. That’s the moment you’ll realize you’re living an experience you’ll never forget!

DAY 2Fayoum Oasis

After enjoying a hearty breakfast to fuel up, we’re off on the ultimate adventure… a 4×4 jeep safari in the stunning Fayoum Oasis. Imagine crossing the desert to reach Wadi El Rayan, a protected park where artificial lakes create waterfalls considered among the largest in Egypt. This is also where the “Valley of the Whales” is located, an impressive collection of whale fossils and bones, in their earliest form—the archaic cetaceans, a species that is now extinct. The largest skeleton ever found measures 21 meters in length, with well-developed five-toed flippers on its front limbs, while the presence of hind legs and toes was unexpected—features that had never been observed in any other archaeocete. In other words, we’re traveling back in time 40 million years!

The adventure continues as the jeeps take you to the Magic Lake, so named because its waters change color depending on how the sun sets. And since an experience like this works up an appetite, at noon you’ll enjoy a barbecue lunch in the heart of the desert, prepared by the Bedouins, the true people of the Sahara. Before heading back, we’ll stop at the artistic village of Tunis, a place full of color and handmade pottery that will make you fall in love with Egyptian art!

DAY 3Alexandria

Today, after breakfast, we set off for the legendary Alexandria! You’ll head toward the northwestern corner of the Delta, where the desert meets the sea. After a 3-hour drive, you’ll see the city unfold before you, built on a rocky pedestal bathed by the Mediterranean Sea and Lake Mareotis. We’ll start at Pompey’s Pillar, an imposing 30-meter monolith of pink granite. Next, you’ll find yourself at Qaitbay Fortress, a jewel of a castle built in 1480 right at the entrance to the harbor. It’s the ultimate spot for photos, with the waves of the Mediterranean crashing against its walls.

Next, you’ll head… underground! You’ll explore the Catacombs of Kom el-Sukafa, the country’s largest Roman cemetery, where, across three underground levels, you’ll see a unique blend of Egyptian, Greek, and Roman art. The historical tour continues at the Roman Amphitheater with its marble seating, a testament to the city’s glorious past. The puzzle is completed with a visit to the new Library of Alexandria, an impressive temple of knowledge that honors its ancient heritage. And since Alexandria wouldn’t be complete without a touch of Greece, we’ll visit the home of Constantine Cavafy, where he lived and wrote his masterpieces. Filled with images and… even more knowledge, you’ll head back to Cairo!

DAY 4Pyramids - GEM Museum - Back to Greece

Exciting experiences await you today as well! You’ll embark on a thrilling excursion to one of the most iconic sites on the planet: the Giza area. Here you’ll get an up-close look at the famous Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure—monuments that have stood majestically for thousands of years. Of course, you won’t want to miss the mysterious Great Sphinx, the statue that continues to impress and raise questions to this day.

At noon, it’s time to visit the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), one of the most modern museums in the world. There you’ll discover priceless treasures, highlighted by the unique collection of King Tutankhamun. Golden artifacts and jewelry will reveal to you all the splendor of the ancient era. After this magical tour, we’ll head to the airport for our return flight. And that’s pretty much how this trip ends—in just a few days, you’ll have seen amazing places, experienced unforgettable moments, and made new friends! If your friends aren’t coming along, don’t worry! We’ve got just the thing to make you fall in love with solo travel!
