Welcome to the Jungle! And who wouldn’t want to experience the adventure of the mysterious Amazon, explore the sand dunes and canals of the Maranhenses, marvel at the legendary Iguazu Falls, and feel the magic of Rio de Janeiro? We’ve put together a trip for you that goes beyond the ordinary and is sure to be a story you’ll tell for years to come! It’s no coincidence, after all, that David Beckham, as soon as he hung up his soccer cleats, chose to experience one of the most incredible adventures of his life in the Amazon, in a place where no one would recognize him. His experience was even turned into a documentary by the BBC.

If you’re ready to embark on an epic journey and push yourself to the limit, then this program is made just for you. You’ll start at Iguazu Falls, where the power of the water, the tropical vegetation, and the colorful birds create breathtaking scenes. Next, you’ll head to the Maranhenses, a region of unique beauty with endless sand dunes, lakes, and canals—perfect for photos and unforgettable moments in nature. Next up is the Amazon, where you’ll stay in a lodge deep in the jungle, fish for piranhas and arapaima, search for caiman alligators, and hike trails that few have explored. The journey concludes in Rio de Janeiro, where you’ll feel the city’s pulse, stroll along Copacabana and Ipanema beaches, explore the historic center, and enjoy the breathtaking views from Sugarloaf Mountain and the Christ the Redeemer statue.

All of this is combined with unforgettable activities, unique photo opportunities, and meals included in the package, offering you a trip unlike any other. With us, you won’t just be a spectator; you’ll become part of the adventure, a part of a world that few dare to explore, living an authentic, intense, and unforgettable experience. If you’re not really into roughing it, we’d suggest you choose a different destination. *The itinerary has been designed based on available flights, as there are no frequent connections between destinations nor a wide variety of flight times.

Field Trip Itinerary

DAY 1August 19 | Departure for Brazil

With your suitcase packed and your spirits high, you arrive at Athens’ Eleftherios Venizelos Airport, where we’ll board our flight to faraway Brazil. If there’s one thing we’re certain of, it’s the excitement we’ll feel for the most extreme, once-in-a-lifetime experience! After several hours of flying, we arrive in the heart of Latin America that same afternoon. As the plane crosses the Atlantic, the thought that you’ll soon find yourself among waterfalls, jungles, and cultures full of color and rhythm makes the wait even more exciting. That same afternoon, you land in São Paulo and continue on a domestic flight to Foz do Iguaçu, where one of nature’s greatest wonders awaits you. Despite the fatigue of the journey, the excitement of what you are about to experience keeps you on your toes.

DAY 2August 20 | Iguazu Falls

You’ll set out early in the morning for the ultimate experience at Iguazu Falls. The Brazilian side of the park offers breathtaking panoramic views, where you can witness the power and grandeur of the water cascading down countless waterfalls simultaneously. The trails and observation platforms bring you so close to the water that the mist and the sound of the falls will leave you spellbound. As you walk through forests with tropical vegetation, you may spot colorful birds, monkeys, and small animals that live near the river. The nature around you reveals its most impressive side, with the landscape resembling a living postcard. Rest assured, you won’t have time to capture one image after another. The day ends with free time to relax and let the impressions wash over you.

DAY 3August 21 | Departure for Manaus

Finally! Today, you can sleep in a little longer. By the time it’s time to head to the airport, you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy a leisurely breakfast and your coffee. At noon, we’ll catch our flight to Manaus, with a layover in São Paulo. We’ll land in the evening and head to the hotel to rest.

DAY 4August 22 | Boat ride – Swimming with pink dolphins – Indigenous village – Caipirinha night

In the morning, we’ll leave the hotel and head to a local market to “stock up” on essential supplies, such as the traditional knife, the machete. That’s exactly what we did at the World Party. After all, in the middle of the Amazon, it’ll just be us and nature, so now’s the time to make sure we don’t run out of food. Unless, of course, you plan to hunt like a native. The moment you leave the urban noise behind and enter the vast river, you begin to feel the grandeur of nature. The first sights of the water stretching to the horizon, the banks covered in dense vegetation, and perhaps the mist hovering low, leave you spellbound.

Very soon, you’ll find yourself next to some of the most enchanting creatures on the planet, the Amazon river dolphins (Botos). A little further on, in a protected area, you’ll meet the Arapaima, an ancient species of fish that looks like it came straight out of prehistoric times. It grows over 3 meters long and weighs up to 200 kilograms, and it has strong scales that protect it from the… bloodthirsty piranhas. Next, you’ll visit a traditional community of the Tucano tribe. They welcome you with a smile, authenticity, and an open heart. Through dances, songs, traditions, and stories, you’ll experience a completely different way of life, deeply connected to the river and nature. As the sun sets, we arrive deep in the jungle, where we’ll stay at our World Party lodge. That night, out there in the middle of nowhere, with the best company and listening to the sounds of nature, we’ll have a caipirinha night!

DAY 5August 23 | Jungle trekking – Piranha fishing – Caiman spotting

After breakfast, we’ll spend the whole day in the jungle. There’s no need to worry, since our local friend will be with us—he knows the area very well. You’ll learn about the Amazon’s unique ecosystem and how you could survive here. So we’ll go on a hike through the world’s most famous jungle, home to countless species of animals, birds, and insects. And don’t forget, this isn’t a zoo—here, everything is real, wild, and unpredictable. There are also many medicinal plants here, 90% of which are used by the jungle’s indigenous peoples and are unknown to modern science. However, the Amazon rainforest is also home to more than 100 isolated tribes that have no contact with the “outside” world. Next, we board our boats for a tour of the area. We’re likely to see sloths, monkeys, and perhaps the most terrifying fish we’ve ever heard of: piranhas. In fact, we’ll have the chance to go piranha fishing (as the locals call it). However, this area is particularly hospitable to caiman alligators, and our local friend wants to take us to spot them. He’ll give us all the necessary instructions, and if we’re lucky, we’ll see these “primitive” creatures.

DAY 6August 24 | Sunrise – Return to Manaus – Departure for São Luís

Today we’ll enjoy the sunrise on a boat ride. It’ll be the perfect way to say goodbye to the Amazon rainforest, which has taught us so much and given us so much! We’ll return to Manaus, and the rest of our day will be relaxed. You can take one last stroll through the local market, where you can find almost anything! From Amazonian jungle herbs to handmade crafts.

DAY 7August 25 | Sao Luiz

We arrive in SAO LUIZ in the morning (which means breakfast is not included today). After picking up your luggage, you’ll set off for Barreirinhas. The approximately 5-hour drive takes you through villages, lush green landscapes, and tranquil rivers, giving you a first taste of the atmosphere of Northern Brazil. Once you arrive at your accommodation, you’ll check in and have some time to relax before your first exploration of the area. A stroll along the Preguiças River allows you to watch the small boats setting out on excursions and immerse yourself in the tranquil and picturesque atmosphere of the town. In the evening, you can try fresh fish and shrimp, accompanied by local fruits such as caja and cupuacu, at one of the traditional restaurants.

DAY 8August 26 | Lençóis Maranhenses

Today we wake up quite early to have breakfast and head to the sand dunes of Lençóis Maranhenses. We board 4x4s that take us through secluded villages and stunning natural landscapes. Upon arriving at the park, you’ll walk among the endless sand dunes and take a dip in the crystal-clear pools that form naturally among the sand. At noon, a stop for a light lunch and a short rest before continuing your exploration of more secluded pools. You can be sure that the beauty of the landscape will captivate you. In the afternoon, you return to the hotel to rest. Late at night, you take the flight to Rio de Janeiro, as it is the only direct flight.

DAY 9August 27 | Rio de Janeiro

As soon as we arrive in Rio, we head to the hotel. We didn’t choose our hotel in Rio de Janeiro to be located in Copacabana by chance. It lives up to its nickname, A Princesinha do Mar, or “The Little Princess of the Sea.” Since we can’t check in at the hotel yet, you can leave your luggage in the hotel lobby and head to the beach to… chill out. Copa is a paradise with an exciting vibe, where the party never seems to stop. It’s no coincidence that it’s a world-famous hotspot for tourists from all over the globe. You’re free to enjoy the day however you like. Of course, if you’d like, you can also visit Ipanema, which is a 30-minute drive away. This beautiful beach offers a great view of the Dois Irmaos mountains, which rise up on its western side. The relatively calm waters allow for swimming in certain areas, while you can enjoy water sports or try footvolley—a Brazilian sport that combines soccer and volleyball.

DAY 10August 28 | Corcovado - Sugarloaf Mountain

Today is dedicated to Rio de Janeiro. The port of Rio de Janeiro is the largest natural bay in the world, containing more water than any other bay in the world. Due to its size, the port of Rio de Janeiro is considered one of the seven natural wonders of the world. So, if you’d like, you can take a tour of the city’s highlights. At the top of Corcovado (which means “hump”), stands the Cristo Redentor, gazing down on Rio with a serene expression on his well-crafted face. It has been voted one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, and at night you can see it lit up from almost anywhere in the city. We continue to the legendary Sugarloaf Mountain (Pão de Açúcar) —we take the cable car up and enjoy a 360° panoramic view of Guanabara Bay, Copacabana Beach, and the city stretching out before us. And of course, we won’t miss the chance to stop and take photos at the colorful and story-filled Selaron Stairs.

DAY 11August 29 | Day off

Imagine a day in Rio all to yourself, with no set plans, just the freedom to choose how you’ll spend it. You can relax on the world-famous beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema, where the sea is a vibrant turquoise and the city’s energy sweeps you away. If you’d like, you can take a stroll through Tijuca National Park, the largest urban rainforest in the world, which immerses you in nature with waterfalls, trails, and views of the city. The historic center beckons with colonial architecture and galleries brimming with art, while the evening can end with a cocktail on a rooftop terrace overlooking the ocean. This day is your chance to experience Rio the way you’ve always dreamed of… Like a local, like an explorer, like a traveler seeking something more than just a city.

DAY 12August 30 | Return to Greece

After breakfast, you’ll have some free time to do some last-minute shopping for your family and friends. Having made unique memories and new friends, we head back home. Unfortunately, the adventure—one you probably won’t even believe you experienced yourself—has come to an end.
